Director of Sales and Marketing Paul Hoppe

Featured in recent Forest Lake Times article

ProPhoenix Director of Sales and Marketing, Paul Hoppe was recently featured in an article by the Forest Lake Times of Forest Lake, MN. Click on the article below for more details. Hoppe just very recently retired as the Wyoming, MN Chief of Police, a role that he held for over 12 years, and many years in Oak Park Heights, MN Police Department prior to becoming Chief. Like many of the current staff at ProPhoenix, Hoppe’s career was in the Public Safety sector before joining us. We pride ourselves on bringing in former Police Officers, Fire Department Staff, Corrections Officers, Dispatchers, etc. with real life experience in the role of the agencies we serve. We understand the needs of Public Safety Departments because at one point, many of us here were in their shoes.

The article focuses on his development of a new system for policing shortly after the merger of the city of Wyoming with the township up until retirement. The first challenge was the need to do ‘more with less’ because of budget restrictions. Hoppe immediately began to implement better technology, such as electronic records keeping, as opposed to the paper filing that the department was currently using. As a former ProPhoenix user himself as Wyoming Chief of Police, Hoppe not only understands the time and resources saved by using up to date technology such as Phoenix software, but he also brings a greater understanding of how our software is utilized in real life situations.

In addition to the push of updating the department’s technological resources, Hoppe also understood the importance of Community Policing, and in his own words, "the need to build a sense of community around the police department." Through social media engagement, community events and the relationships built within the community, the Wyoming Police Department became a positive example not only for departments within the state of Minnesota, but also around the country.

We are very excited to have Paul Hoppe on board here at ProPhoenix. Please read below for more details on all of the different programs that Hoppe started and implemented in his time as Chief of Police. I’m sure that this experience and creativity added to the already impressive resumes of many of our current staff will set ProPhoenix apart as the leader in Public Safety Software technology to better serve our agencies for years to come. Welcome to the team, Paul!
